Another Big Weekender – #9, #17 and #73

Another shout out to Kirsty for helping,  managing to tick off 3 in one long, exhausting but fun day!

#9. Do something creative yet new – Pottery/metalwork/black smithing Rope Making

As part of the Festival of Stuff at UCL’s Institute of Making, I tried my hand at a bit of rope making.

#17. Walk over the o2

This was really good fun and I would recommend everyone give it a go. It takes about an hour to complete the walk and there are some fantastic views from the top.

#73. Pedal a pedalo

In between the o2 and the Festival of Stuff, we had a quick stop off at Regents park and had a potter about on the water in a pedalo. On the water we had a nice spot of lunch and had a quick blast about with an RC boat.

GREAT DAY OUT!

#29. Make my own sushi

I’ll let the pictures tell the story! But this was a Sushi School bargain, with 2 people for £50 and you get a metric tonne of sushi afterwards.

Was great fun and would recommend anyone give it a go!

#42. Do something for charity

Been a bit of a while since my last update and this one was a while in the making but a great achievement in my opinion. A group of 9 intrepid explorers from my company embarked on a climbing expedition to Scafell Pike (978m), as part of the WaterAid200 challenge.

The walk took us just under 7 hours and unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side with torrential rain for over 4 hours! However that paled in insignificance as we had an amazing time and we managed to raise almost £2000 for WaterAid, which we have been told will go to help change of 140 lives around the world.

Well done team!
