This one took since pretty much christmas to practice and i’m still not perfect but I can do a fair few tricks now (off the knee is pretty lame I know!).

Pretty lame rendition of You Are My Sunshine but still a tick of the list… Onwards and upwards people!
Been a bit of a bumper week, ploughing through 5 more.
97. Visit the Guinness factory in Ireland
This one was great fun and a little bit random after I spotted Hayley and her sister whilst queuing for tickets. Neither of us had a clue we were going to be there, very small world but we had fun walking around the factory and enjoying a Guinness together.
12. Get a microscope
Bought a digital microscope that arrived the other day, here are some of the less digesting pictures i’ve taken.
94. Climb a tree
DONE!
81. Be phone/tv/computer free for a whole weekend
Whilst away in Ireland I refrained from using my phone/was miles away from a computer and avoided the tv! It felt good to unplug I have to say.
31. Random act of kindness
This one has been difficult to tick off, as random act of kindness and just being a normal decent human being overlap quite a lot. Many times i’ve given up my seat on the tube or helped someone with their bags/pram up the stairs. However on the train back from Ireland I had spotted a lady drop her glasses as she was walking down the train, I basically had to sprint down the train and shout at her to catch up and return them. She was very grateful for me doing it and it felt to help her out.
This has been one of the more enjoyable of the challenges on the list. Starting from a very low base of only 3 episodes I set myself the task of watching every episode of Breaking Bad this year.
I have to say that I absolutely loved the series, it is so well written and the acting was impeccable.
Quite sad this one has finished, but onwards and upwards.
#37. Go skinny dipping
Unfortunately (well depends on your pov) there aren’t any pictures of this one, but during Natalie and Tony’s wedding on the beautiful Isle of Jersey a few of us thought it would be a great idea to go skinny dipping in the sea. Prompted by me shouting “let’s go skinny dipping” at a very drunken 12:30am. I don’t remember much but people tell me that I was naked about 100m from the water and was sprinting towards the sea :-/. This was probably the most fun one i’ve done so far!
#62. Build a sand castle
A slightly more sedate one than the above but good fun none the less + a picture for your enjoyment.
Following Delia’s Chocolate soufflé recipe, I attempted to make a wonderful and light chocolaty delight. Unfortunately it didn’t go quite according to plan and was a little heavy, heyho I gave it a go and will make improvements for next time.
After deciding to buy skates instead of hiring them (as it was only £15 more to buy them), Richard and I travelled out to an overcast Hyde Park and made our way around the outside of the park. It was great fun, if not a little tiring and this was another good one to have completed from the list.
A few pics below.
Bit of a slower couple of weeks but a few more ticked off and a couple of others are well underway!
This week I have managed to complete #8. Take a martial arts class and #11. Read a book on the major philosophers
#8. Take a martial arts class
Was completed this evening as I took part in a Kempo class. It was really great fun actually if not very tiring as the session started at 7:00pm and ran for 1.5 hours. Kempo originates from Japan but was adapted by China and India and is focused on self-defence and training. I think I will head back next week as it was really enjoyable!
#11. Read a book on the major philosophers
This one took a while to complete, reading only mainly on the tube and in my free time which I have very little of unfortunately. It was mainly just a dabble into the leading ideas of the major philosophers but was hugely insightful and has made me want to read more about a few of them, namely Nietzsche and Sartre.
FIN!
#96. Swim in the Thames
This one was pretty epic! Swimming along the Thames for Hampton Court to Kingston as part of the Human Race – Hampton Court Palace Swim. My time surprised me somewhat coming in under the hour but it was tough going and the water was pretty disgusting!
